Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to SweepSelect. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. SweepSelect is a marketplace that connects customers with independent cleaning professionals. SweepSelect does not itself provide cleaning services. Our role is to facilitate connections between customers seeking cleaning services and independent cleaners who offer them.

2. Eligibility

To use SweepSelect, you must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid payment method. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Each individual may maintain only one account. If we have reason to believe that account information is inaccurate or that an account is being misused, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate it.

4. How the Platform Works

SweepSelect operates as follows: a customer submits a cleaning request specifying their needs, schedule, and location. Our platform matches the request with an available, qualified cleaning professional. The cleaner performs the service at the scheduled time. After the service is completed, payment is processed automatically through our platform.

5. Pricing & Fees

For one-time bookings, pricing is determined by our published rate table, which calculates rates based on the duration of service and applicable modifiers (such as weekend, evening, same-day, or holiday surcharges). For recurring bookings, rates are negotiated between the administrator and the cleaner.

A service fee is added to all bookings and is paid by the customer. All prices, including any applicable surcharges and the service fee, are displayed before you confirm your booking. You will always see the full cost before committing to a service.

6. Payment Terms

Your payment method is charged after the cleaning service has been completed. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By booking a service, you authorize SweepSelect to charge your payment method for the total amount displayed at the time of booking confirmation.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel a booking at any time before the service begins at no cost. There are no cancellation fees or penalties. If you cancel after the service has already started, standard charges may apply.

8. No-Shows

If a customer is not available at the scheduled time and location (a customer no-show), the full service amount will be charged. If a cleaner fails to arrive for a scheduled service (a cleaner no-show), the customer will receive a full refund.

9. Platform Role

SweepSelect is a technology platform that connects customers with independent cleaning professionals. Cleaners who use our platform are independent contractors, not employees of SweepSelect. SweepSelect is not a cleaning company, employer, or staffing agency. We do not control how, when, or where cleaners perform their services, and we do not supervise their work.

10. Limitation of Liability

SweepSelect is not liable for the quality of cleaning services, property damage, personal injury, or any other claims arising from services performed by independent cleaners. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SweepSelect's total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to your use of the platform shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to SweepSelect in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at support@sweepselect.com so we can attempt to resolve it informally. If informal resolution is unsuccessful, the parties agree to attempt mediation before a mutually agreed-upon mediator. If mediation fails, any remaining disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of SweepSelect after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
